Set on a picturesque seaside, Metlifecare’s Pōhutukawa Landing provides premium aged care and exceptional amenities, with a relaxed coastal vibe.
Featurecraft’s fire-rated MDF battens have been installed throughout ‘The Anchorage’ area, a central amenity building with a café and bar providing a social hub for catchups with fellow residents, and meeting friends and family.
The ceiling battens have been finished with a high-quality American White Oak veneer, made here in New Zealand. The battens can be seen throughout the project in a straight orientation, as well as in a custom 'waffle' grid formation. Acoustic backing panels were installed behind the battens to assist with the building’s acoustic requirements.
Metlifecare’s design philosophy is to build bespoke villages that reflect the land and community around which they’re built. Fitting perfectly into its coastal surroundings, Pōhutukawa Landing epitomises this ethos.
