Situated in the North-West of Christchurch is Te Parito Kōwhai Russley School, a school with vast growth and expansion on the horizon.
This development by BCN Architects has been broken into two blocks. The first block, completed in late 2023 see’s Featurecraft’s aluminium battens installed on the ceiling and as a screen in the school’s reception area.
The battens were supplied in two profiles - 100x50mm for the screen and 50x50mm on the ceiling. To match the surrounding finishes, the aluminium was powder coated with a woodgrain effect, achieving the natural look of timber but with the added durability that aluminium provides. This product was adapted to thrive in a school environment.
Part 2 of this project is under construction and expected to be completed early 2025.
